How you will contribute
will be supporting the NA Region Biscuit Product and Process Development. Projects will focus on Core product optimization, ingredient optimization, formulation changes, quality improvement and product alternative line qualification. The candidate will be responsible for the optimization and commercialization of snack products related to the Biscuit category. This position allows the candidate to develop and drive growth opportunities within the NA Biscuit, Bars and Baked Snack Productivity team. This position will have the opportunity to work on multiple brands across and build strong relationships across R&D, with suppliers, Co-manufacturers, the Business, Research, etc.

The Candidate will be responsible for designing, planning and execution of trials for pilot plant and plant. They must also develop and manage project plans and timelines ensuring that projects are delivered on time. Candidates should possess strong technical and project management skills, and effective communication skills.
The Candidate must be able to assess testing plans, gather and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings. They must also co-ordinate the work of junior colleagues and provide coaching and project/ technical mentoring. While the candidate will be a member of the productivity team, they will need to be able to lead their assigned projects and collaborate with the pillars, cross functional team members and broader NA Biscuit teams.

What you need to know about this position:
The Candidate must possess some experience in ingredient functionality, formulation, and commercialization. The individual must be able to write detailed product specifications and project reports and is able to support Quality and Manufacturing needs as it relates to their projects.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
• Lead execution of brand value, quality improvement launches from Pilot plant assessment to plant commercialization and lead alternative line qualifications, ensuring trial readiness and direction to junior colleagues and contractors (70%)
• Develop, update and maintain product specification of assigned projects, and support the input of product and process specifications to PLM (20%)
• Engage with research technical experts, suppliers, RDQ partners, and Business cross functional partners including Marketing, Sales, PCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, Consumer Science, CIS, Graphics partners.
Education / Certifications:
BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related Science field.
Job specific requirements:
• Minimum 6 years' experience working with proven track record of successful product launches and product & process development technology in the Food Industry.
• Strong Food Science understanding of Food Chemistry and with some basic Food Process Knowledge

This role is located onsite in East Hanover, NJ (Monday-Friday).
Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $95,100 - $130,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
