About the Sales Engineering Team:
Narmi is a technology company, and as such we need technical experts on our Growth Team who have a deep understanding of Narmi products, and who can demonstrate, evangelize, and explain all of the capabilities that Narmi can offer to our customers. The SE team are those experts. We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team and help us in our mission to enable Community FI’s with technology that was previously only available to big banks.
About the Senior Solutions Engineer Role:
As a Narmi Sales Engineer, you are a cross-functional resource that bridges technical, sales, and banking industry expertise. You understand the technical intricacies of the Narmi One platform, how it interfaces with the many other systems that modern banks use, and the impact that it has on our customers’ business. You present and demo confidently, explain complex concepts clearly, and network consistently with other Narmi teams to be an invaluable component of our efforts to educate our customers on the value of Narmi.
SEs are part of a tight-knit team that support each other to help us all to be our best. But being able to own sales engagements from end-to-end and work autonomously is also a key part of the SE role. You’ll have a lot of freedom as an SE to work the way that you want, and you’ll be evaluated on your ability to deliver engagements on time and to a high level of quality.
What You'll Do:
- Engage in consultative conversations with financial institutions as they assess their own capabilities, needs, and ability to integrate with our platform
- Draft and deliver presentations on technical topics
- Prepare and present compelling, tailored demos of Narmi and partner software products
- Be an expert in competitor and partner solutions
- Draft creative and thorough responses to RFP’sLiaise with relevant teams cross Narmi (product, implementation, platform success, and customer success teams) on behalf of the sales team to develop solutions and strategies to grow revenue
- Contribute to Narmi’s market presence by authoring whitepapers, attending or speaking at industry conferences, and hosting educational sessions for partners and/or consultants
Most importantly, you are a master at using technical tools and techniques to convey the business value of the Narmi One Platform, and are relentless about addressing every question and concern that stands between a prospect and a Narmi sale.
What You'll Bring:
- Located in US Eastern time zone in a major city 5+ years in customer facing roles (sales, consulting, professional services, etc) at B2B SaaS companies
- 2+ years working in or closely with financial institutions (preferably banks/credit unions)
- 2 years Enterprise B2B sales/presales experience (client orgs $100M+)
- Excellent communicator, with strong in-room presence and the ability to “own the room”
- Track record of owning projects and working autonomously to achieve objectives
- Experience working with short turnaround cycles and juggling several (6+) deals/projects simultaneously
- Strong team player
- Willingness to travel (US domestic) up to 40% (avg is more like 15-20%)
- Have hands-on experience with enterprise applications that require deep configuration
- Mastery of basic modern web technologies (HTML, XML, JSON, REST services, Javascript and/or Typescript)
- Based in New York City
- 2+ years prior experience in a Sales Engineering / Solution Engineering role
- 2+ years prior experience working in or servicing US Banks and/or Credit Unions, particularly in the $200M-$20B asset range
- Working knowledge of banking systems, protocols, regulations, and security requirements
- Prior FinTech experience
- Experience with technologies in Narmi’s tech stack (AWS, Node.js, React/React Native, Kubernetes, Python)
- Enterprise Cloud Architecture experience (best practices for application architecture, CI/CD, Security, etc)
- Prior experience with Narmi and/or other digital experience platforms for banks (Lumin, Kony, Alkami, Backbase, Q2, Banno, MANTL, NCR, etc)

This role’s expected annual base salary is $120,000 - $160,000. Base salary is only part of your total compensation. In addition to base salary, you will receive an equity option grant, and are eligible for performance-based cash, equity bonuses and an annual variable compensation plan. Compensation included in an offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for candidates located outside of New York City may differ. You will also receive a full benefits package.
