Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Manager in the Professional Services team, the individual will work closely with Sales and Account Managers, Business Analysts, Client Engineers, Solution Architects and Client and Prospect Developers and End Users to scope, plan, lead, and execute on client-facing Proof of Concept and Implementation projects. 

• You are able to create clear project plans, identify risks and dependencies and can clearly articulate the latest status of your projects at all times. 
• You constantly think about scalable ways to improve the onboarding and implementation process for our clients. You are organized, diligent, and proactive.
• You have experience working with a technical product and are excited to develop expertise in modern cloud, data, and software technologies.
• You welcome accountability for your/your team’s goals and metrics, and will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales and Customer Success individuals to ensure the success of the department’s goals.
• You know how to effectively tailor messaging to customers to articulate value in meeting their business objectives; you communicate with your clients, peers, and managers clearly and concisely.
• You have some experience working at or with financial services institutions and are passionate about innovation in the industry.
  

• full project life cycle, including project definition, scope, resource planning, business analysis, technical design, development, testing, training, and migration to production 
• closely with the Client Engineering and Solution Architecture teams to deliver a positive onboarding experience, constantly aligning PMO strategies
• effectively through various mediums, and across all levels of Beacon and client organizations, to ensure transparent status reporting, change management and issue resolution
• with Beacon’s Professional Services teams to facilitate scoping and design 
• Beacon’s internal activities and dependencies to ensure client projects are delivered on time
• a feedback loop to Product teams from ongoing Client projects
• through pragmatic and collaborative removal of blockers and/or issues 
• from and contribute to Beacon’s Project Management organization on best practices and client management 

• 5-10 years of experience delivering risk management, trading, or analytics platform solutions
• Knowledge of financial markets and workflows
• Track record of full lifecycle project management on projects of 6+ month duration and budget > $500k
• Hands on experience with budget management and risk/issues tracking 
• Experience managing client-facing projects, working with development teams and working in a global organization
• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
• Team player, friendly and can adjust to changing priorities with aplomb
• Persistence and adaptability – expect and embrace change and challenges in a start-up environment
• Flexibility – comfortable with wearing many hats to get the job done
• Positive attitude with a proven ability to foster relationships
• Proactive work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision and a desire to learn 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Project Management Certification: PMP, Prince 2
• Experience implementing and managing a Project Management function technology stack, including planning, metrics, resource allocation, dashboards and reporting using applications such as Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, Mavenlink and similar tools
• Experience with SecDB/Athena/Quartz

Expected salary $150,000 - $185,000
