We fix the problems of workers' comp billing, solving real problems that impact injured workers.
The Role

We are looking for a full-time, versatile designer/web guru/illustrator with strong brand, marketing, and digital design skills. Our products 1) solve real problems affecting doctors and their injured worker patients in an insanely complicated area of healthcare and 2) involve large-scale, complex, and function-heavy SaaS systems. So, we need someone who can handle a lot of complexity to visually communicate what we do while driving our brand across every customer touch point.

We are a small and highly collaborative company and will value your input tremendously. As a successful, high-volume, bootstrapped business, we don’t worry about running out of runway and enjoy the confidence of a proven product with a very stable user base. Additionally, we strongly believe in work-life harmony, so we observe a 40-hour work week (32 in the summer) and are fully remote and staying that way.

The most significant chunk of your work will be overhauling current web pages and creating new ones to make them more usable, intuitive, elegant, and charming (quirky doesn’t hurt either). Beyond marketing pages, we have extensive educational pages and tools, including a knowledge base, daily blog articles, and industry-specific resources. All of this involves working with and evolving our current design system: colors, icons, illustration style, typography, etc.

Beyond the web, we will need you to bring your awesome designs to video graphics, marketing and sales decks, conference collateral, etc. Essentially, you will be instrumental in building a brand identity system that works for a wide array of different environments.

You will work most closely with the Marketing/Content Team and the CEO. You will make decisions and be remunerated at a senior level but will work as the sole designer, with the possible addition of an animator to help with our videos.

  • Create web pages, decks, videos, print collateral items, including logos, icons, illustrations, and video storyboards.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the daisyBill brand.
  • Define how to evolve our current state of design to something better.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Marketing/Content Team, Product Designer, Product Manager, and CEO on new and continuing projects.
  • Quickly iterate and offer versions based on feedback.
  • 4-6 Yrs of relevant design experience within brand, marketing, and digital design, with at least one B2B SaaS product in your portfolio.
  • Exceptional core design skills—pixel perfection, typography, layout, interaction, and visual expression.
  • Experience working closely with marketing and product to develop and iterate on projects.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining style guides and design systems.
  • Decent understanding of CSS / HTML / JS: what their respective roles are, how they are used by browsers, and how to design for them.
  • A background with animated videos, whether hands-on or working with an agency, is a big plus.
  • Deeply collaborative and iterative approach to design, focused on ensuring a unified experience across all platforms.
  • A bias towards transparency and communication plus a certain egolessness about your work
  • Alignment with daisyBill GOAT Values.

We are a small group of smart, inclusive, and nice people, who value making a difference in people’s lives. daisyBill is solving real problems that impact injured workers. Within the workers’ compensation system, we help providers with the complex burdens of obtaining authorization and payment -- burdens that would otherwise deter providers from treating those who are injured while working.

Everyday we show up because the billing process for workers’ comp is a mess. Everyone has to jump through too many hoops, file too much paperwork, make too many phone calls. We are the only people on the planet (that we know of) who have been able to build a platform that makes this process manageable and largely automated. It’s hardly perfect but it is a massive improvement. Not only do our clients absolutely love us, bills get paid easily and quickly, and patients get the care they need. That’s a lot of wins.

  • Be bold - The status quo just isn’t good enough

  • Outperform - What we do, we do best

  • Customers matter- Keep our customers top of mind, constantly, and all else follows

  • Persevere - Find a way or make one

  • Improve constantly - We get smarter

  • Collaborate - Me. We.*

  • Be nice - Real, straightforward, open-minded, honest, and ethical

  • Value diversity - Of thought, experience, mindset, and angle of attack

  • Live your best life - Work should only be 25% of your life

  • GOAT - The daisyTeam strives to be the Greatest of All Time

*Muhammad Ali spoke at Harvard University in 1975. When someone in the audience requested a poem, Ali’s response was “Me. We.” We love this simple and pithy statement connecting the individual and the team.
