WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage the deal process and distribution of exit proceeds to investors, working cross-functionally with the Sales, Research, Legal, and Compliance teams to efficiently deliver proceeds
  • Communicate directly with clients, shareholders, and investors to collect all documents necessary for the distribution
  • Identify ways to automate and optimize processes / business methods and partner with Product/Engineering to execute as it aligns with our workflow goals.
  • Assist the Marketplace Director and Associate Manager(s) with ad hoc projects such as identifying and implementing systematic innovations, developing and delivering onboarding trainings, designing and executing data analytics to improve our understanding of our Marketplace, and assisting with platform, product, and process decisions

THE RIGHT STUFF

  • 3+ years of experience within finance, capital markets, private placements, or venture capital; bonus points if your experience is at a broker-dealer, fund admin, or accounting firm and/or with handling distributions.
  • Skilled project manager with the ability to juggle multiple deliverables across numerous stakeholders with many key milestones and deadlines from start to finish
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with 3rd party vendors while exemplifying EquityZen
  • Inspiring and effective coach for junior team members; experience checking and reviewing work, monitoring status and keeping the trains running on time, providing guidance and tips, and getting ahead of issues before they arise
  • Strong attention to detail both in writing (an eye for typos and confusing instructions) and in numbers (noticing and resolving balances that don’t reconcile or don’t make sense); a measure twice, cut once mentality
  • Client service pro who can craft and deliver informative, diplomatic, & timely communications, remain calm and collected in a fast-paced environment, and resolve client issues while also upholding EquityZen’s deal policies 
  • Systems thinker with the ability to quickly understand and map complex processes, identify risks in the process and root causes of issues that arise, and design & implement controls and process improvements to make the our deal process more efficient and better controlled  

BONUS POINTS

  • Proven experience in managing the preparation and timely distribution of K-1 tax documents, coordinating with internal teams and third parties to ensure compliance with deadlines and accuracy requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for world of venture capital, finance, technology, and the pre-IPO space
  • Experience in secondary markets or FinTech marketplaces

SALARY

  • $80,000 annually
