As Senior Manager, UXR you will manage a talented team of mixed-method researchers across our three sided marketplace and lead hands-on strategic research projects. You'll advocate for our users and work with cross-functional groups -including Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Growth and more. This might mean working with our partners to ensure we are asking the right questions, identify research opportunities and establishing best practices etc.
We are seeking a leader to take our practice to the next level-someone with deep knowledge in the field of UX Research with a proven understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods. You are an empathetic mentor and a system-level thinker. You will report to the Director of Product Design.
The Impact You Will Make:

  • Build strategic relationships and influence a variety of cross-functional partners within the three sided marketplace by communicating the value of user research and delivering insights that drive business impact
  • Identify research opportunities, lead prioritization and resource allocation, ensuring the team is focused on the highest priority opportunities and balancing short term and long term needs of the business
  • Mature the user research practice by shaping product strategy with formative and foundational research and fostering a user-obsessed culture (ie. evangelizing insights, cross-functional collaboration, engagement and activation strategies)
  • Establish and own benchmarking and customer satisfaction programs to longitudinally measure and inform how we build products
  • Evolve the research team's capabilities and toolset, provide mentorship and growth opportunities, champion research, and identify opportunities to elevate user-centered design practices across the design studio and product organization


What You Bring To The Table:

  • 8+ years of practical, in-house product and/or digital consumer-facing UX Research on a variety of devices/platforms (desktop, smartphone, tablet)
  • 3+ years of industry experience managing team of researchers through skills and career growth
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in research, psychology, social science or a related field
  • Demonstrated capability and ownership of partnering with stakeholders and leadership to identify, plan and deliver high-impact insights within a fast-paced, matrixed organization
  • Deep expertise with diverse research methods and design thinking frameworks; excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills to bring partners on your journey and support your decisions
  • Experience with implementing and managing Voice of the Customer (VoC) programs, customer satisfaction, and benchmarking programs

New York Salary Range: $167,000 - $251,000
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made.
