We're looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join Snap!
What you'll do:

  • Manage and mentor a team of full-stack developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver
  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor
  • Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Background with building high availability and mission critical systems
  • Experience with leading an engineering team
  • Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 14+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • 6+ years of experience managing a team
  • Experience with distributed systems and web development


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Content Moderation or Trust & Safety spaces
  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience with Ops-heavy systems/products

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $244,000-$366,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $232,000-$348,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $208,000-$311,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
