As we embark on our journey to reach the next million customers, we are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Sr. Manager, Event Marketing to spearhead our efforts in bringing our brand to life in-person and increase customer engagement opportunities. 

Collectors is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sr. Manager, Event Marketing to lead our event planning and execution efforts, with a primary focus on promoting and enhancing the brand's presence in collaboration, primarily with PSA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event management including trade shows, brand strategy, team leadership, a passion for collectibles and the hobby, and experience in managing large flagship events along with a diverse portfolio of smaller events at scale.

This role reports to the Director of Planning and Operations in the Marketing organization. Ideally the successful candidate will be within an hour of either our Santa Ana or Jersey City offices, but remote will be strongly considered for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do:

  • Event Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy aligned with Collectors' and PSA's objectives, including large flagship events with significant brand presence, a long tail of smaller events, and local drop-off events, all at scale.
  • International Expansion: Build and execute a robust international events and experiential roadmap, leveraging your international experience to expand the Collectors brand globally.
  • Partnership Collaboration: Work closely with PSA and other strategic partners to co-create and coordinate events that maximize brand exposure, foster industry relationships, and drive customer engagement on a global scale.
  • Event Planning: Oversee end-to-end event planning, including budgeting, logistics, venue selection, vendor management, and the development of event timelines for a wide range of events.
  • Marketing Integration: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure event marketing plans are aligned with overall marketing strategies, encompassing pre-event, on-site, and post-event efforts across international markets.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing events team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Sponsorship Management: Identify and secure event sponsorships, partnerships, and exhibitors that enhance event offerings and generate revenue across various event types and locations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, industry experts, collectors, and the Operations and Customer Care teams to ensure the successful execution of events worldwide.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for events and provide regular reports on event success, ROI, and attendee feedback for both domestic and international events.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging event technologies to continuously enhance event experiences and maintain our leadership position on a global scale.

Who You Are :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in event management, including significant exposure to trade shows and conventions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to use data to inform investment and strategy.  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for collectibles and an understanding of the PSA and PCGS authentication and grading process is a plus.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $127,876-$155,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
