The Senior Manager, Event Marketing will support the Executive Director, Event Marketing and will focus on overall sponsor management for our Travel Category. Additionally, this position will provide support across the event marketing team as needed. This position is hybrid in-office at our NYC location with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

The Event Marketing team is the driving force behind successful events. The team is responsible for a wide range of activities, from conceptualization to execution and post-event analysis. The team is key to orchestrating cross-functional collaboration. The team strategizes with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling event messaging and memorable experiences that align with the company's goals, drive attendee engagement, and generate tangible results.
About The Positions Contributions:
- Support the Executive Director of Event Marketing with presale requests and sponsorship acquisition.
- Implement, oversee, and manage all sponsorship activations for advertising partners. This includes coordinating pre-event logistical and operational details, as well as onsite event management.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and create compelling event marketing sponsorship proposals, proactively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing teams in the development of event sponsorship tools, including templates, one-sheets, and general presentations.
- Coordinate with the event marketing team to seamlessly integrate sponsorships into various events.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in event marketing, sponsorship management, or special events, ideally at a media company.
- Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient writing skills, with an understanding of marketing principles
- Effective project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel when needed
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and effectively work independently
- Self-motivated, confident, and creative
