Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Note: This role is remote, however, the candidate must reside in the New York City Metro Area and be available to come onsite for team meetings occasionally. The candidate must also be able to work without sponsorship.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing technology solutions that power our Meetings and Workplace product offerings. We are looking for someone with strong experience in React apps powered by node,js-based microservices. We need someone who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives and can quickly identify areas of improvement. Convene is creating some of the most beautiful real-world meetings and flexible workplaces to inspire and foster collaboration and engagement. Our engineering projects connect customers digitally with that physical world. You’ll be collaborating with our agile team of system administrators, developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure we are delivering high-value solutions to our internal teams and clientele. 

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Lead the technical creation and evolution of the Convene's impactful customer-facing products in collaboration to the overall technology roadmap
• Write code to ensure that the overall application and platform architectures are robust and easy to maintain. 
• Grow into a mentorship role and technical leader in software development
• Build out microservices on cloud services like AWS
• Redesign and reimagine legacy services to fit the changing needs of the business
• Collaborate with other developers, product managers, business stakeholders to ensure that the products that we are creating meet the needs of the business as efficiently and effectively as possible

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-stack development using JavaScript, Node.js, React, and frameworks such as Express.js, ViteJs, and ChakraUI
• Experience creating microservices
• Experience working with Kubernetes is helpful
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experienced collaborating in cross-functional engineering teams
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members

Base Salary:

Salary Min: $175,000  Salary Max: $190,000 

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
