About the Position

As a Senior Front End Engineer at Vetcove, you’ll work on some of the most impactful projects in your career. You’ll take ownership of major parts of the user interface, designing and building innovative solutions that make a real difference for veterinary clinics, pet parents, and their furry patients. Your work will define the user experience of a platform managing billions of dollars in transactions, empowering clinics to focus on delivering excellent care.

Our platform powers the day-to-day operations of veterinary clinics, from medical records to online shopping, but our mission goes beyond software—we’re creating a better, more efficient way for clinics to serve their patients.

At Vetcove, frontend engineers have a holistic view of the platform and a direct impact on the product. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to build tools that are intuitive, reliable, and delightful to use.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the User Experience: Take ownership of frontend features, ensuring they’re intuitive, fast, and impactful.

• Craft the Interface: Translate hi-fidelity designs into polished React components that bring our platform to life.

• Innovate with Impact: Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to create user experiences that simplify complex workflows.

• Mentor the Frontend Pack: Share knowledge, set best practices, and support the growth of junior engineers.

• Debug and Optimize: Dive into tricky problems, from fixing rare UI bugs to optimizing rendering performance.

• Collaborate with Heart: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the unique needs of our users.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional web applications.

• Frontend Expert: Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of modern frontend frameworks and tools.

• Pixel-Perfect Craftsperson: Experience turning hi-fidelity designs into seamless user interfaces that delight and perform.

• CSS Guru: Deep understanding of CSS and its latest features, ensuring visually stunning and responsive designs.

• Problem Solver: Strong debugging and performance optimization skills to tackle even the most challenging frontend issues.

• Passion for Product: A strong desire to create tools that make life easier for veterinary clinics, pet parents, and their pets.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $115,000/year - $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. For Colorado, the salary range is: $135,000 - $175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. This salary range is a good faith estimate of what Vetcove may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects the base hourly rate or annual compensation (as applicable), and does not include bonus, equity or other incentives.
