What we do:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead and manage a team of Contracts Managers within our growing Legal Operations team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the effective management of contracts processes, workload distribution, operational efficiencies, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in contracts management, a strong process and technology mindset, and demonstrated success in managing a team in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Manage a team of Contracts Managers, ensuring effective workload balancing, performance management, and professional development.
  • Play a key role in evolving the contracts management support model to meet the growing needs of the legal team.
  • Review and draft a wide variety of agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, amendments, order forms, termination notices, and other standard agreements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing guidance on contract processes, policies, and status updates.
  • Partner with other team members to implement and optimize contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and other technology solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Manage special projects as needed, supporting broader Legal Operations initiatives and departmental goals.

Who you are: 

  • 7+ years of relevant contracts management experience, with at least 2 years managing a contracts team.
  • Strong understanding of contract review, drafting, and negotiation processes across a wide range of agreement types.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on team development, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively interface with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with and support the use of a range of technology solutions, including DocuSign CLM, JIRA, and e-Sign.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a broader team.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is

$93,100$170,600 USD
