This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical GLP laboratory group. You will perform routine sample testing and assay verification and qualification studies in support of early vaccine GLP toxicology studies. Assays include Immunoassays (MSD, PCR), spectroscopic techniques (e.g., UV-Vis) and standard analytical separations techniques (Fragmentation Analyzer, HPLC).
How You Will Achieve It

  • In this position the individual will perform analytical method qualification/verification and routine sample testing in support of GLP release and stability of early phase vaccine candidates. This includes preparing samples, setting up and running the instruments, and analyzing data.
  • Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from sample testing contemporaneously in notebook as directed.
  • With guidance, the individual will execute assay verification and qualification studies for GLP assays used in the release and routine analysis of vaccine candidates.
  • With guidance, draft and revise laboratory methods and reports.
  • Support assay training and transfer of methods.
  • Plan daily workflow to complete the tasks/experiments outlined by the supervisor.
  • Where applicable, perform job responsibilities in compliance with GLP requirements.
  • The individual is expected to contribute and participate in general laboratory maintenance activities (such as maintenance of equipment, managing laboratory waste).


QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have:

  • Applicant must have Bachelor's in Chemistry , Biochemistry or related discipline + 2 or more years of related work experience, or Master's in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, with good laboratory skills.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in bioassays (MSD, PCR-based techniques, Fragmentation Analyzer), spectroscopic techniques (UV-VIS.) and separation-based analytical techniques (HPLC-UV, HPLC-CAD).
  • Experience with laboratory data systems


Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • The position has physical requirements of basic office and laboratory work environment.
  • Ability to perform data analysis


Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements:

  • This role is standard day Monday through Friday work shift; some off-shift support needed when issues arise.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64 600,00 to $107 600,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7,5% of the base salary.
