Dotdash Meredith is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer with strong SQL skills to join the Data Operations team. The successful candidate will help build our data marts that serve each business domain while maintaining data quality and integrity in our data stores. We are looking for someone who is a great team player but can also work independently. This person will also work closely with key stakeholders to understand and implement business requirements and make sure data deliverables are met.
Remote or Hybrid 3x a month
In-office Expectations: This position offers remote work flexibility; however, if you reside within a commutable distance to one of our offices in New York, Des Moines, Birmingham, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Seattle, the expectation is to work from the office three times per month

You will create well-documented and robust data marts that empower analysts, data scientists and application developers to gain valuable data insights.

You will work closely with other Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, and our business partners to make data insights broadly accessible.

You will perform exploratory data analytics and collaborate on designing analytical data models.

You will be a bridge between the business and tech, scaling access to insights that can empower better decision-making.

You will build and improve high-visibility reports and dashboards used by stakeholders and a diverse set of teams across the company.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
-
Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
-
You are an engineering-minded analyst with 5+ years of experience applying analytical techniques and building analytics tools at a fast-paced company. Practical knowledge of dbt is required.

You are an expert in SQL.

You are familiar with data warehouses such as BigQuery and Snowflake.

You are always looking for new and meaningful ways to visually communicate analytic insights using a variety of tools (dbt, Looker, Data Studio…).

You are experienced in managing stakeholder requests, expectations, and relationships across a variety of business domains.

You have exceptional communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
