The Finance team oversees the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and business planning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Accounting Organization. Responsibilities include ensuring the successful delivery of general accounting processes, closing the books monthly including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and analysis, accruals, variance explanations and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. Other responsibilities include legal entity accounting, supporting the annual audit and quarterly reviews and various ad-hoc projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Accounting.

  • Timely completion and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing tasks including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, account analysis, analytics and SOX controls. 
  • Review of cost of revenue / cost of goods sold(COGS)and accounting treatment for colocation leases recognized under ASC 842 ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
  • Assist with reconciling COGS related lease vendor bills against active agreements and budget for better visibility on accruals and variable costs.
  • Coordinate with the business and vendors to resolve disputes timely.
  • Review vendor contracts for appropriate accounting treatment and build cross functional relationships on complex arrangements to evaluate business and accounting implications.
  • Facilitate cooperation between Accounting and Infrastructure/Procurement teams to track progress of pending issues and organize pre-close P&L review meetings with business owners.
  • Document (and/or update existing) standard operating procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Participate in due diligence and special projects as required (developing scalable process improvements for month-end close procedures such as accruals).

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree required (accounting, finance, etc.).
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in Audit/Accounting or general ledger experience with global public company.  Combination of public accounting and private company experience in accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Coupa is a plus. 
  • Strong US GAAP skills including an understanding of the month-end closing process.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Thorough and attentive to detail while still meeting deadlines required.
  • Strong desire to learn; proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast paced environment; takes initiative and can work independently.
  • Excellent organizational ability required to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tech savvy and proficient with MS Office/Google Workspace; strong Excel skills are required.

  • The salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $90,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills a premium would apply to NYC OR SF. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
