Direct Agents is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager specialized in Sports Marketing to lead client accounts, deliver standout campaigns, and build impactful relationships. 

This NYC based role has a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience, with annual compensation reviews based on performance. Potential bi-annual bonus pay is based on company and individual performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Account Manager specializing in Sports Marketing, you'll lead client relationships and marketing strategies for our growing sports and entertainment vertical. This position requires a strong understanding of sports media, tournament cycles, and audience engagement strategies to drive subscriber acquisition and brand growth for our clients. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns that convert sports enthusiasts into loyal subscribers and customers.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for sports and entertainment clients, with particular focus on streaming platforms, sports leagues, and tournament promoters
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their business goals, seasonal priorities, and key performance metrics
  • Help collaborate and work with Paid Media, Creative and Analytics teams to design marketing campaigns aligned with sports tournaments and season calendars, ensuring maximum impact during peak audience interest periods
  • Lead cross-functional teams including media, creative, and analytics specialists to deliver integrated marketing strategies
  • Coordinate weekend and after-hours coverage during critical tournament periods to ensure continuity of service and client satisfaction
  • Analyze campaign performance against KPIs and provide strategic recommendations to optimize results
  • Prepare and present weekly insights, monthly reporting, and quarterly business reviews that clearly communicate value and performance
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance their business outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and expanded service offerings
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to agency knowledge sharing
  • Travel to client sites and industry events as needed to support relationship development and campaign execution

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 5+ years of relevant account management experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years focused on sports or entertainment clients
  • Demonstrated experiencer managing subscription-based marketing campaigns
  • Experience with Search, Programmatic Display, and Paid Social advertising
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail -- ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and a team player 
  • Strong understanding of the sports media landscape, tournament cycles, and audience engagement strategies
  • Exceptional client management skills with the ability to build and maintain C-level relationships
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable work style with willingness to provide coverage during key sports events and tournaments
  • Comfortable with occasional travel to client meetings and industry events
  • Experience with CRM systems, project management tools, and data visualization platforms
  • Experience in MS Excel and interest in building up analytical skills
