We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Relationship Manager to join our fast-growing dealer sales team within MarketAxess. The successful candidate will be continuously building relationships and will strive to increase revenue and customer retention.

The Sales Relationship Manager is responsible for generating new sales within a specified territory and achieving set sales targets. The role will also involve the protection of existing revenues within the individual’s regional allocation through efficient customer relationship management

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the market and MarketAxess product suite, anticipate customer needs, and use discretion to advise customers
  • Be the subject matter expert in all MarkeAxess product segments to achieve trading volume targets and increase market penetration
  • Sell MarketAxess trading capabilities and develop long-term strategy for current and potential customers, focusing on investment grade, emerging markets, high yield, leveraged loans, index product and rates at an advanced level
  • Maintain and develop new relationships across levels within the customer’s organization at an advanced level
  • Leverage customers and industry intel to effectively communicate product requirements to Product Specialists/Developers for system enhancements, functionality and usability
  • Analyze large sets of data to identify market trends, tradable patterns, and leading indicators to advise current and prospective customers
  • Propose timelines, forecasts, and expectations to proactively influence the business line’s goals and budget
  • Mentor and assist in the development of all junior colleagues while promoting firm values across the team
  • Own relevant initiatives and be responsible for driving the initiative and increasing knowledge and engagement across the team
  • Develop executive level presentations and metrics to communicate team strategy, accomplishments and goals
  • Represent the business in responding to trading strategies, test procedures and other projects
  • Meet the minimum of customer meetings during and after business hours and be able to entertain customers at various venues

  • 6+ years of experience in a sales capacity with prior broker/dealer, buy-side firm, or other electronic trading venue experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the MarketAxess platform and product suite
  • Advanced knowledge of the credit fixed income markets, in addition to fixed income ETFs
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals and quotas
  • Series 7 and 63 required
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to successfully partner across functions and lines of business
  • Advanced ability to interact with and provide insight to line-traders and trading management
  • Advanced ability to deliver results amidst continuous change in an agile work environment
  • Advanced ability to proactively tackle business problems with creative solutions
  • Passion for electronic trading and the resilience to effectively promote its continued evolution through MarketAxess products
  • Ability to be in office as needed per company requirements
  • Ability to travel as needed for training and customer engagement

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $110,000 USD to $175,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
