The Opportunity

We're hiring a Senior SDR to own and elevate our outbound motion. This is not a spray-and-pray role. You'll work closely with AEs, founders, and product to target the right firms, run thoughtful outbound, qualify deeply technical buyers, and help close complex deals.

This role is ideal for someone who:

You'll be trusted to run real pipeline, not just book meetings.

What You'll Do

Own top-of-funnel execution

Build targeted account lists, research firms and practice areas, and run outbound across email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals. Partner tightly with AEs to convert high-quality meetings into real pipeline.

Qualify deeply, not shallowly

Run first calls that go beyond surface-level BANT. Understand firm structure, workflows, pain points, data sensitivity, and buying dynamics. Set up AEs for successful technical demos and closes.

Be product-fluent

Develop a strong understanding of August's AI workflows, document handling, and integrations. Confidently speak to lawyers about real use cases, not just features.

Market and segment intelligently

Help define ICPs by firm size, geography, practice area, and maturity. Identify which segments convert best and feed insights back into GTM strategy.

Support field GTM and events

Help prep for conferences, pre-book meetings, support on-site demos, and turn conversations into pipeline and follow-ups.

Sharpen the outbound engine

Test messaging, sequences, positioning, and value propositions. Track what works, kill what doesn't, and continuously improve conversion rates.

Contribute to sales enablement

Document objections, competitive intel, messaging frameworks, and call notes so the whole team gets better faster.

What You'll Bring

Strong commercial instincts

You know how to spot real buyers, ask sharp questions, and articulate value clearly.

Comfort with technical products

You're excited to learn how complex software works and explain it simply to non-technical buyers.

Excellent written and verbal communication

Your outreach is thoughtful, concise, and human. You can hold your own with senior attorneys.

Bias toward action

You don't wait to be told what to do. You test, iterate, and take ownership.

Coachability and ambition

You want feedback, you want to grow, and you're aiming for an AE role.

Experience

2–5 years in SDR, BDR, sales, consulting, or a similarly rigorous commercial role. Prior legal tech or SaaS experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Nice to Have (Optional)

- Experience with HubSpot or Salesforce

- Familiarity with Apollo, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator

- Exposure to legal tech, B2B SaaS, or AI products

- Experience selling to professional services firms

- Interest in long-cycle, consultative sales
