Flow Traders is looking for a Risk Manager to join our Risk team in New York. The ideal candidate is process oriented, an effective communicator across teams and is passionate about the financial markets. What you will do
- Enhance and develop risk management frameworks, risk models, reporting, policies and procedures
- Evaluate and monitor market, credit, & automated trading risk within the firm
- Oversee capital management, and treasury processes within trading
- Perform both quantitative and qualitative risk analysis on trading activities
- Ensure all other potential risk (credit, operational, regulatory, etc.) is mitigated within the risk appetite of the business
What you need to succeed
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in risk management (market risk role preferred) based within a trading floor environment
- Deep understanding of financial markets and products including equities, fixed income, FX and derivatives
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel (VBA)
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects independently
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work closely with the risk team, traders, technical staff, and external stakeholders
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Strong numerical and logical reasoning abilities
- Degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computing or related field

Where candidates will fall within the range depends on a few different factors including but not limited to level of experience, location, and specific skill set. We also consider ourselves one global team, and to demonstrate that, all employees are eligible to share in the company’s success through an annual discretionary variable remuneration allocated based on company, group and individual performance and contribution.
Per NYC salary transparency law, the total compensation for this role includes a base range of $110,000 to $160,000 plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
