Role Description:
We are seeking a dynamic RevOps Financial Professional with a startup background to join our client’s team in person in New York City. The successful candidate can work in person in New York City, is willing to transition from part-time to full-time over six months, and has previous RevOps experience with SalesForce. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience building out the finance function from scratch at a venture-backed startup.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage month-end close and revenue reconciliation processes.
- Build and structure the finance function from the ground up, providing clarity and organization to scattered financial data.
- Transition accounting practices from cash to accrual basis, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Implement and automate processes within Salesforce to streamline RevOps tasks.
- Provide forecasting and financial planning to support business growth and stability.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate financial management with overall business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work in person in New York City.
- Must be able to move into a full-time role six months down the line.
- Proficiency in Salesforce automating financial processes is required.
- Experience in startup accounting and RevOps.
- Strong background in month-end close, revenue reconciliation, and cash-to-accrual accounting transition.
- Proven ability to build and structure finance functions with no existing framework.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage scattered financial data.
- Excellent forecasting and financial planning abilities.
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, startup environment.
