Who You Are:

Galaxy Digital Research is looking for a policy researcher to join our research team covering digital assets  policy, policymaking, and legislation for internal and external clients.

Utilizing on-chain data, market data, internal experimentation, industry relationships, and the insights available through Galaxy’s diversified businesses, Galaxy Digital Research has a unique vantagepoint into digital asset markets from which to provide high quality research to our institutional clients and partners. You will generate and disseminate top-tier research products to policymakers, regulators, legislators, and institutional investors through a multi-channel distribution platform comprised of written reports, audio and visual media, and live interviews and appearances.

This role is in person in our NYC headquarters.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze major policy issues affecting the digital assets ecosystem, including legislative efforts, regulatory matters, government policy priorities, and international policy issues.
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory, legislative, and policy developments at the U.S. Federal and State levels; assess their impact to Galaxy, and assist in developing rapid responses to such policy proposals.
  • Identify opportunities to influence legislation, monitor for government vendor opportunities (RFPs)
  • Contribute to Galaxy Research’s ongoing coverage of regulatory policy in the form of written reports, client notes, and briefings for policymakers and Galaxy executives.
  • Work as a member of both the Galaxy Research and Galaxy Policy teams, serving as both a conduit and contributor between and to both teams.
  • Develop and nurture relationships and partnerships with industry stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue research topics independently and/or as part of an assigned effort
  • Serve as a thought leader on various crypto topics and consult with internal and external clients

 What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in financial services policy  
  • Strong, existing knowledge of digital assets ecosystem and policy issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
  • Capability to self-direct and drive projects with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and resources to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.

Base Salary Range

$150,000$200,000 USD
