About the Role:

The Treasury organization at Remitly is looking for a Business Analyst to enhance operational reporting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is important to aligning Treasury operations with important business activities, deriving applicable insights from data, and supporting strategic goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Risk and Strategic Programs, this role offers a dynamic mix of strategic partnership across departments within Remitly.

You Will:

  • Build Treasury metrics reporting to provide stakeholders with, accurate, and actionable insights into business performance.
  • Develop dashboards and regular reporting mechanisms to track key Treasury metrics, such as Profit & Loss (P&L), liquidity costs, Value at Risk (VaR), and FX costs
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis to uncover trends, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions based on Treasury performance data.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL and Tableau to design and improve reporting processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate on defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and documenting step-by-step methodologies for key calculations to support transparency and consistency across the Treasury organization.
  • Act as an important point of contact for Treasury-related reporting and data needs, supporting strategic projects across teams.
  • Facilitate project delivery by working with Product, Business Development, and Expansion teams to ensure Treasury metrics are integrated into broader company programs.
  • Track outcomes and follow-ups from monthly Treasury reporting to ensure identified actions are addressed and progress is monitored.
  • Use insights from tracked outcomes to support data-driven decision-making and refining of Treasury strategies.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in consulting, banking, or data analytics, with a focus on metrics reporting or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in tools like SQL and Tableau (or similar platforms) for data analysis and visualization.
  • The ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $72,000-$92,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
