You will be crucial in optimizing data architecture within R&D and also identifying opportunities for automation. You will work with various stakeholders to determine how to use business data for business solutions/insights.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Partner with R&D's Lead Data Engineer and cross-functional stakeholders to assess current data architecture and identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with IT to understand overarching organizational architecture standards and strategies, ensuring alignment of proposed solutions.
- Evaluate R&D's existing data architecture against organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend automation tools (such as low code or no code) and platforms suitable for enhancing data accessibility and utilization within R&D.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts using selected automation tools to demonstrate their effectiveness in streamlining data access processes.
- Work with IT to integrate selected automation solutions seamlessly into existing systems and architecture, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
- Provide guidance and support to R&D's Lead Data Engineer and stakeholders on implementing and utilizing automated solutions effectively.
- Collaborate with IT to monitor the performance of implemented automation solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize effectiveness.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and automation, sharing insights and best practices with relevant stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation beyond data architecture, contributing to overall organizational efficiency and productivity.

- Strong understanding of database management systems, data modelling & data modelling tools like Erwin, integration techniques, and automation concepts.
Education / Certifications:
A BS or MS degree in a technical field, including Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Food Science, Physics, Computer Science, etc.
Job specific requirements:
- At least six years of experience in data analytics, data architecture analysis, optimization, and automation, preferably within a similar function or industry.
- Experience with low code or no code automation tools and platforms such as PowerApps, Robotic Process Automation tools such as Automation Anywhere , with the ability to assess their suitability for specific use cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Must live within commuting distance to East Hanover site. Hybrid working model but must be able to come to office to collaborate/connect with colleagues.
