Job Description
As a Quant Analysts, Senior Associate within our Payments Analytics team, you will combine your analytic skills with specific domain knowledge to make data actionable. You will be the bridge between analytic and non-analytic groups, facilitating holistic, cross-functional learning. Your role will involve collaboration, learning, teaching, and disseminating knowledge across the Data and Analytics community. You will work closely with Payments Product Owners to deliver insights through descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Your goal will be to build consensus with Product Owners on promoting customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, and creating reports. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and make a significant impact in our organization.
Responsibilities
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
- Create data points using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Rationalize complex normalized data sets allowing for ease of cross org consumption
- Partner closely and collaborate with Product teams, Data management teams, Strategy teams, Technology Teams and broader D&A organization resources across multiple functional units to understand business requirements and objectives
- Translate data into meaningful insights and present a compelling story to stakeholders for decision making
- Bring in experience in the production, optimization and automation of recurrent reports
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Alteryx and/or Tableau
- Intermediate experience with Adobe Analytics knowledge
- Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye for innovation
- Being able to demonstrate initiative, completing projects/tasks independently is highly desire
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks; Good written and oral communication skills
- Operational business knowledge of processes, data, controls, and technology platforms
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelors with 8+ years of analytics experience; Degree in quantitative or related field preferred
- Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology or finance
- Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
- Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and data wrangling tools such as SAS EG, SAS Viya, Python, Snowflake and Alteryx is key
- Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred)
- Basic skills with JIRA, Confluence
- Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, Snowflake) based data solutions and tools
