This is a remote/contractual opportunity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases based on project requirements.
- Conduct manual testing to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using at least one programming language.
- Implement automated testing with tools like Cypress and Selenium.
- Manage and track defects using platforms such as TestRail, BrowserStack, and JIRA.
- Perform API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or Insomnia.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Jenkins.
- Utilize version control systems, such as Git, to manage test scripts and related artifacts.
- Apply knowledge of database fundamentals to perform simple SQL or NoSQL queries (a plus).
- Contribute to performance testing efforts using tools such as Apache JMeter (a plus).
- Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and collaborate effectively within an agile environment.
- Communicate test results, issues, and concerns clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular regression testing and sanity tests across multiple platforms and environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years in software testing (manual).
- Automated testing is a plus
- Experience with Cypress
- Test case design, execution, and defect tracking (JIRA, TestRail).
- CI/CD integration with Jenkins, version control (Git).
- Basic SQL/NoSQL knowledge (preferred).
- Performance testing exposure (JMeter is a plus).
- Agile/Scrum experience with strong communication skills.
