Job Description:

This role be responsible for providing coordination, synthesis, and executive preparation support to the Executive Vice Chair for Public Policy & Client Engagement. The Public Policy & Client Engagement Lead will help advance the firm’s policy related client engagement efforts and thought leadership by supporting outreach to global monetary policymakers based on an understanding of emerging macroeconomic and financial market trends and preparing materials to support the outreach. This role will work closely with International and Federal Government Relations, Global Policy Analysis & Insights, the Data Institute, Global Research, and client coverage teams to coordinate inputs to ensure the Executive Vice Chair is equipped with timely, accurate, and actionable information. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to develop expertise at the intersection of public policy, financial markets, and strategic client engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors macroeconomic, financial market, and monetary policy developments, with a focus on U.S. Treasury markets and financial system risks. 
  • Prepares concise, executive‑ready briefing materials, presentations, and reference notes for senior leaders and client engagements. 
  • Develops and compile executive‑ready briefing materials, presentations, and reference notes for senior leaders using inputs from designated internal teams and insights gathered through engagement with policymakers, clients, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Coordinates closely with International and Federal Government Relations and Global Policy Analysis & Insights teams to synthesize insights and ensure consistent policy messaging for client engagements. 
  • Supports planning and logistics for the Executive Vice Chair’s participation in policy dialogues, conferences, and client briefings. 
  • Leads cross‑functional coordination to gather inputs, manage workflows, track timelines, and ensure alignment and readiness for executive engagements. 
  • Tracks team priorities, deliverables, and follow‑ups to support effective execution across all Executive Vice Chair activities. 
  • Drafts internal summaries and memos for senior management highlighting key takeaways, outputs, and follow‑up items from client and policy engagements. 
  • Identifies and monitor policy topics of interest for clients across Markets, GCIB, and Business Banking, and share timely insights with relevant lines of business. 
  • Facilitates connectivity between Public Policy experts, clients, and key external stakeholders by helping organize meetings, events, and ongoing engagement forums.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of relevant work experience in monetary policy or public policy
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, monetary policy, global regulatory trends, or geopolitical dynamics, with demonstrated ability to connect policy developments to market or business implications.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, executive‑ready materials.
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion when supporting senior‑level engagements and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across policy, government relations, and client‑facing teams.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$138,600.00 - $192,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
