innovaTel is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist who is passionate about our mission of delivering speed to quality mental health care for all. This is a fully remote telehealth position working with pediatric patients in a children’s hospital setting located in the Philadelphia area. We provide a tremendous amount of support to our clinical team and want our clinicians to be able to focus on what’s most important - patient care. Come join our exceptional team! 

This is a full-time remote role. Candidates who are located close to Philadelphia and have the ability to be on-site on a very occasional basis will be given priority. 

  • Expected hours:
    • 40 hours per week
  • Role location:
    • Remote. If candidates have the ability to be on-site in the Philadelphia area on a very occasional basis, that is a plus
  • Patient population:
    • Pediatrics at a children’s hospital 
  • Required licenses:
    • New Jersey and Pennsylvania. If a candidate possesses only one of these licenses, we will consider cross-licensing in the other state

  • Provide effective management of psychiatric care including initial psychiatric evaluations and medication management reviews in accordance with established clinical guidelines 
  • Develop a strong rapport with a diverse set of patients (socioeconomic status, sexual orientation etc.) exclusively through the telehealth modality
  • Uphold clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care
  • Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the on-site clinical team
  • Document concurrently all clinical findings and services provided in the electronic medical record as required by compliance standards
  • Be present and available on-screen for the duration of the contracted hours

  • Active Doctorate (MD / DO) Required
  • in good standing
  • Board Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion
  • Previous telemedicine experience and skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients

  • Licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania 
  • Ability to be on-site on a very occasional basis in the Philadelphia area
  • Experienced in caring for patients with Serious Mental Illness
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to needs of clinic partners (e.g., same-day appointments, patients in crisis, technology outages, etc.)
