About the Job
As a Processor at Splitero, you will support homeowners who have applied for our innovative Home Equity Investment product by preparing files for underwriter review. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage your pipeline while collaborating with your production teammates and third parties, all while providing a stellar experience to the homeowners you help.
- Reviewing applications and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Proactively communicating with homeowners, teammates, and third-party vendors to discuss file-related items, set expectations, and obtain missing or incomplete documentation
- Ordering and reviewing information from various third-party vendors, including title reports, valuations and credit reports
- Thoroughly processing and preparing files before underwriter review, pre-underwriting, title curative work, and ensuring compliance with Splitero guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Working cross-functionally with team members for our homeowners to receive a positive experience, from application to closing
- Managing and prioritizing a pipeline of homeowners in various stages of the approval and funding process
- Meeting or exceeding established production goals, Key Performance Metrics and standards
This role offers on-target earnings of $94,000+ per year, including a $70,000 base, paid hourly, and uncapped monthly commissions based on the number of homeowners you help each month.
About You
- 3+ years of experience in loan processing
- Understanding of mortgage industry regulations and best practices, including title curative work
- Experience using robust CRM, such as Salesforce, and self-solving through internal policy and workflow guides
- Experience working with mortgage and real estate third-party vendors
- Experience working in a service-oriented role with high-volume customer contact and strong verbal and written customer service skills
- Excels at working on a fast-paced, collaborative team committed to meeting and exceeding goals and objectives
- Communication skills that go beyond the basics, including active listening, understanding homeowner needs and responding appropriately, staying composed under pressure, and communicating with empathy
- The ability to communicate complex information in a straightforward, easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to problem solve independently through determining the root cause and implementing effective solutions, escalating as needed for issues beyond immediate expertise
- Ability to efficiently time manage, organize and prioritize your workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Incredible attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in every aspect of your work
- Understanding of home equity investments is preferred
- Ability to work 8am - 5pm PST and over time as needed
- Desire to participate in fast-paced early-stage startup
