As a Principal Technical Program Manager in Enterprise Technology within Public cloud enablement & adoption you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating through ambiguity and driving change. With demonstrated technical fluency, you will effectively manage resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with the firm's strategic goals. Your exceptional communication and influencing abilities will foster productive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective risk management. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development of new policies and processes, shaping the future of our technology landscape.
The Cloud Advancement & Transformation Solutions (CATS) team are multi-cloud advocates who enable adoptions across JPMorgan Chase. Working closely with each of JPMC's lines of business, we create integrated end-to-end cloud adoption roadmaps for our customers by providing unrivalled customer support, clearing cloud adoption obstacles, and tailoring solutions that steer customers' public cloud journey toward success. The Chief of Staff function fosters alignment and collaboration while driving team culture and engagement across the CATS and larger global tech organization. This role will support the team by managing daily operations, logistics, event planning, and special projects. This role will involve managing complex initiatives to timely high-quality delivery, and the successful candidate will have strong technical program management and agile skills.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
- Works across teams to help ensure delivery against business objectives while coordinating reporting and communications plans for portfolio management operations and change initiatives
- Enables operational efficiency by supporting training, maturation, needs assessments, and continuous improvement practices
- Provide chief of staff support to the CATS teams as needed, including facilitating meetings and offsites, talent reviews, executive prep and materials. Identify opportunities to enhance the CATS culture and engagement, define and implement strategic projects to drive an engaged workforce
- Develops and manages internal communication strategy including leadership messages, forums, and planning annual meetings as part of the communications and change management responsibilities
- Have ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm, from C-level executives to people managers to developers working on the cloud platform
- Apply structured problem-solving skills to address top strategic priorities. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and drive implementation of process changes. Collaborate with team members across the central teams and corporate functions, including working closely with teams on prioritization of deliverables
- Prepare executive communication materials for senior management. Understand the leader's intent and use your own initiative to act, even in the absence of specific instructions
- Support the development and operationalize key metrics to measure the current state, define what success looks like in future, and enable strategic solutions and execution
- Drive day-to-day problem solving to facilitate recommendations and push the team's agenda
- Utilize organization and planning expertise to prioritize tasks, navigate organizational complexities, and resolve challenges without burdening the executive leader
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience leveraging strong communication, analytical, and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong execution skills; experience managing complex delivery across multiple work streams and varying timelines / priorities
- Experience operating in an agile methodology and with agile tools, such as Jira and Jira Align
- Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex tough messages to senior audiences with poise and confidence
- Demonstrated background of engaging on diversity and inclusion
- Proven experience in discretion in handling highly sensitive issues
- MS Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Technical Understanding of Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and services to effectively support the cloud organization.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Experience in a Similar Role: Previous experience in a Chief of Staff or similar role, preferably within a technology or cloud-focused organization, is often desirable.
