To help raise awareness and build associations with Capital One within the tech sector, the Capital One Tech marketing team is seeking a seasoned marketer to build and manage large-scale integrated campaigns that position Capital One as a technology leader and build awareness and credibility with a technologist audience around topics like AI and data, cloud infrastructure and software engineering. This position is highly collaborative, and will work with stakeholders across both the technology organization and multiple communications and marketing teams to identify and develop our best tech stories for use across the Enterprise. A true marketer at heart, they will lead integrated work with a focus on developing relationships, translating value, connecting dots, and bringing our technology stories to life with credibility and authenticity.
What you'll do

  • Partner with tech stakeholders, tech communications leaders and product marketing teammates to identify the most impactful tech stories to tell to a tech audience and influence across teams and leadership to execute your vision
  • Develop tight, strategic briefs that spotlight our high value technology stories for distribution across social, site digital, OOH and audio channels and actively lead all integrated campaign activities to bring the work to market
  • Work with internal partners to identify, contract and manage external agency partners for creative development from concepting to production to delivery
  • Independently lead campaign projects, working with a project manager to set and hit deadlines across many internal stakeholder groups from strategy to creative to launch
  • Build and nurture relationships with Capital One technologists, working directly with them to translate their work into marketing material that is accurate, credible and true to our Brand
  • Actively collaborate and build consensus with SMEs in project management, creative, research, paid media, social and content, advertising, talent marketing and communications to bring campaigns to market
  • Build regular, integrated reports tracking progress on our major campaign and program KPIs and share them far and wide
  • Bring bold, innovative ideas to the table that will associate Capital One with a leading technology company
  • Ensure all campaign activity is well governed end to end

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 4 years of multi-channel marketing experience
  • At least 2 years of experience managing large integrated campaigns for a well-known Brand
  • At least 3 years of experience managing creative processes and working with creative teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous B2B tech marketing experience
  • Knowledge of technology fundamentals in AI/ML, cloud computing, data management, or software engineering
  • Experience on-set during video and audio productions
  • 4+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $118,700 - $135,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing
San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $125,700 - $143,500 for Principal Associate, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
