About the Role
iCapital is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead operational efficiency and data quality for the Document Center product line within the Platform Operations team. This newly created role is pivotal in addressing legacy inefficiencies, resolving data and document breaks, and building a scalable operational framework.
As we scale, we’re looking for a thoughtful and experienced operator to lead a team focused on one of the most critical touchpoints in the investor experience timely and accurate delivery of statements and tax documents. This individual will manage a small team responsible for overseeing the flow of investor documents through our platform from ingestion and validation to application integration and frontend visibility. This role blends technical expertise with operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end process for investor statements and tax documents, from data intake to final delivery, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 people, providing structure, support, and direction on both day-to-day execution and long-term improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and third-party administrators to ensure our platform reflects the most up-to-date and accurate investor data.
- Build dashboards, reporting tools, and automated workflows to monitor document flow and highlight operational issues before they become client problems.
- Use tools like SQL, Power BI, and VBA to identify inconsistencies, track bottlenecks, and drive platform-wide reliability improvements.
- Design scalable remediation frameworks to reduce manual triage, improve audit compliance, and clear data backlogs.
- Advocate for improvements in platform features and workflows, informed by frontline exposure to data issues and client needs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in operational management, document processing, data operations, or a related field
- Experience managing data operations or document workflows within a complex platform environment, ideally in financial services or fintech
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, and experience with Power BI, VBA, or similar tools
- Able to solve complex problems, find patterns in chaos, and turn ambiguous issues into structured, repeatable solutions
- Can balance big-picture thinking with a bias toward hands-on execution.
- Experience leading a team or is ready to step into team leadership with confidence
- Clearly communicates and works well across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
