People Experience Associate

Sage is on a mission to improve care and quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living facilities. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death among adults over 65. And yet, fall prevention and emergency response systems for older adults are archaic and ineffective. At Sage we've built a more modern way of understanding when older adults need help, including methods for residents to alert caregivers when in need of help, and corresponding software for caregivers to triage response. Our company mission is to create a product that our client counterparts love, and this role is a key part of that objective.

Sage is a small, tight team of ambitious, multi-disciplinary entrepreneurs. We are a software-enabled, mission-driven company, and are focused only on the problems that are central to achieving that mission. At Sage, we work hard and fast but also know that to build a truly important company, we need to treat our work as a marathon, and not a sprint. The journey matters.

About the Role

Sage is seeking a People Experience Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of making our office a welcoming, productive, and well-organized environment while supporting the People team in HR and Talent related tasks. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from managing office operations to creating memorable moments for the team. This role reports to the Head of People, and the position requires working in the Union Square office from Tuesday-Thursday each week.

Some examples of the work you’ll be doing on any given day include…

  • Create a welcoming environment: Foster a welcoming and well-organized office environment, ensuring it supports both team productivity and a positive experience for guests.
  • Building Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for building management to ensure smooth operations and address any office-related issues promptly.
  • Reception & Visitor Management: Greet visitors and candidates, ensuring a positive and professional first impression. Manage visitor sign-in and security protocols (e.g., using a system like Envoy).
  • Stock up and simplify processes: Manage office supplies, snacks, coffee, and equipment, creating efficient systems with recurring orders for seamless replenishment.
  • Employee Engagement & Event Planning: Partner with the Head of People to drive employee engagement initiatives, plan and execute office events, team-building activities, and employee celebrations. Facilitate pulse surveys and ensure team feedback is acknowledged and acted upon to reinforce a positive and inclusive company culture.
  • Manage deliveries and packages: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely distribution.
  • Office Logistics, Safety, and Compliance: Collaborate with IT to implement office systems such as Envoy for visitor management, ensure the functionality of conference/VTC systems, and maintain office security systems. Ensure adherence to office safety protocols, including emergency procedures and other office regulations.
  • Recruiting Coordination: Assist the Recruiting team with scheduling candidate interviews in Greenhouse, ensuring a smooth, efficient and positive candidate experience.
  • HR Project Support: Assist with various HR projects, including policy updates, onboarding, or other team initiatives to support company-wide goals.
  • Order swag and catering: Source branded swag for the team and organize catering services for team lunch every Tuesday-Thursday.

What We Do

Sage is on a mission to improve the quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living facilities. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths among adults over 65. At the same time, fall prevention and emergency response systems for older adults are archaic and ineffective. This issue is exacerbated by the inefficient procedures that operators of these facilities are forced to use to provide care to their residents. Sage's integrated software aims to reinvent how we care for and respond to older adults in times of need. We aim to build a platform that gives caregivers the means to provide care for modern aging.
