As a Payments Planning and Analysis- Senior Associate within the J.P. Morgan Payments, you will play a critical role in supporting the Payments organization. You will be engaged in both supporting day-to-day business objectives, as well as shaping the strategic vision of the business. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the CEO and CFO of the business, requiring you to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior business leads. You will have the opportunity to lead and assist in the creation of senior management presentations, develop essential management information for decision support, analyze financial results, and support the execution of strategic initiatives.
This is a highly visible role across the Payments organization with exposure to the CEO and CFO of the business and requires the candidate to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior business leads. We are looking for a candidate who has substantial experience in P&A that can manage critical deliverables in a fast-paced environment, collaborate and lead a diverse set of stakeholders, think strategically, and communicate in a concise and thoughtful manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist in creation of senior management presentation and reviews (e.g. Investor Day materials, business reviews, off-sites etc.)
- Develop essential management Information for decision support (e.g. analysis of competitor information and development of any strategic responses)
- Ingest and analyze financial results (e.g. revenues, expenses, headcount) and communicate to business leads in way that allows for actionable insights that can impact business performance
- Support shaping and execution of strategic initiatives as well as ad-hoc requests
- Assist in digital transformation agenda - create self-serve interactive financial dashboards
- Maintain and improve monthly reporting models related to P&L forecasting & budgeting as well as understanding the drivers of the business for both historical and projected period
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple competing priorities and deliverables under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as and relationship management skills
- Proactive thinker with a growth and creative mindset
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to problem solve
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Financial Services; Experience with payments & liquidity
- Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data and data analytics tools
- Experience with Planning and Analysis, Business Management, Project Management or Strategy
