NewsNation is a national news cable network currently reaching approx. 75 million television households across the United States. NewsNation is owned and operated by Nexstar Media Group (NXST). NewsNation is looking for a full-time experienced and proactive Office Manager to help oversee daily office operations for NewsNation at our state-of-the-art studios in mid-town Manhattan. This role is integral to maintaining a well-functioning and professional office environment while serving as a key point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and building management. The Office Manager will work closely with NewsNation Operations leadership and support staff to ensure seamless execution of administrative functions, facilities upkeep, and front-office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a resourceful professional who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative setting.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced organization, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment.

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations department, including calendar management, meetings scheduling, and coordinating travel arrangements as needed.

• Function as a liaison between Operations Management and internal/external stakeholders.
• Help coordinate the procurement of new equipment, such as laptops, devices, and other office supplies, including inventory of office and breakroom supplies, staying within budget guidelines.
• Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory, including ordering and tracking deliveries, ensuring the office space is conducive to a productive work environment.
• Serve as the point of contact for office-related issues (e.g., building maintenance, utilities, office security) liaising with vendors and service providers to ensure the office runs efficiently and within budget.
• Help coordinate and organize team events, office meetings, and social functions.
• Coordinate the ordering of company promotional items (SWAG).
• Ensure conference rooms are fully stocked, clean, and ready for meetings, collaborating with administrative staff as needed.
• Assisting payroll and HR onboarding new employees and managing office procedures on onboarding requests as needed.

The estimated salary range is $70K to $80K.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should possess exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and professionalism
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams) and familiarity with office management software
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information at all times.
• Positive attitude with a customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and managing vendor relationships.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Ability to be in office M-F. Flexibility to adjust schedule to accommodate activities as needed.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs. for office supply management. The compensation available for the role considers a variety of factors including, but not limited to, work location, individual skills set, previous/applicable experience, and other business needs.
