Investopedia is seeking a copy editor to help ensure our readers understand what the latest business news means for their finances. We are seeking someone with a passion for educating and empowering others about complex topics. Must have a solid background in business news and digital publishing.
Investopedia’s news team regularly generates 40+ stories on a weekday with aspirations to continue growing our coverage. As an associate news copy editor at Investopedia, you will help ensure news stories are accurate, effective and trustworthy.
This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
II. Essential Job Functions
Edit and publish business news content to help readers understand how recent events could affect their finances
Follow Investopedia and Dotdash Meredith's best practices and styles
Work with the Investopedia staff, as well as freelance writers and editors

Education:
B.A. or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience editing or writing digital business news
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience publishing business news content with well-respected outlets
Strong editorial skills, including demonstrated experience line editing for content improvements, grammar, and AP style
Knowledge of financial markets and economics
Experience with fact-checking best practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with SEO best practices
Comfortable using technology and willing to learn new program
