We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a fast-paced, growing firm. This important role will be responsible for technical accounting duties including but not limited to month end closings, preparation of financial statements and reporting documents, system implementation assistance, year-end audit preparation, and assisting with ad-hoc projects across the company. This position does require hybrid in-office work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the month-end closing process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for multiple portfolio companies.
- Contribute to the creation of consolidated financial statements for senior management and investor stakeholders.
- Support year-end audit activities by liaising with external auditors and providing the required documentation.
- Help implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial operations.
- Assist with system implementations and updates to enhance operational efficiency.
- Offer financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making through detailed reporting and data evaluation.
- Engage in special projects such as financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis to drive business planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-8 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, ideally within financial services, private equity, or asset management, with a focus on accounting for operating and management companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related quantitative field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong ability to analyze large data sets and develop financial models.
- Skilled at managing competing priorities and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dynamic, forward-thinking, and innovative, with strong ethical standards and a proactive approach.
- Collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage confidential information and resolve conflicts.
- Flexible and eager to adapt and learn new concepts.
