The Ads Media Analyst role is the external face of LeafLink’s Ads Data Team. The Ads Media Analyst has a passion for analytics, performing in-depth analysis, and is viewed as an expert when it comes to our advertising solutions performance. As a trusted advisor to both our internal Ads sales team and clients, your time is split between diving deep into rows of data to derive insights and educating our clients on advertising performance, campaign renewals, and enterprise deal pitches.  

  • The Media Analyst is responsible for working with internal teams and clients to align on objectives/KPIs and make recommendations for campaign optimization while keeping an eye on campaign performance and client retention. The Media Analyst will report to the Director, Ad Sales and will collaborate with the members of the LeafLink Ads Sales team and Ads Data team to formulate and present custom analyses, derive insights, and monitor performance for our clients. You will contribute by:
  • Being the day-to-day analytics point of contact for client accounts
  • Conduct analyses on Ad performance for (1) customer renewals and (2) enterprise-level sales pitches and build data-driven presentations; join customer calls together with the AE to serve as data expert
  • Aligning campaign objectives/KPIs with client business goals, developing performance measurement plans and recommendations for campaign optimization
  • Analyzing performance data to investigate hypotheses across large, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Delivering actionable insights and analyses that tell the performance story of the campaign, focusing on campaign success
  • With the help of your manager, recommend data collection strategies for your clients
  • Partnering with Ads Sales account team members to develop forward-looking campaigns based on historical performance insights
  • Presenting optimization recommendations and insights to both client and internal audiences
  • Educating internal teams and becoming a trusted advisor on all aspects of LeafLink advertising

  • 2-5 years digital media experience, especially in media measurement or analytics departments, cannabis experience a plus
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics or Economics preferred
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Strong experience with Excel, Sigma, and Google Suite
  • Ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and summarize findings in a concise manner 
  • Strong qualitative skills with the ability to demonstrate quality data organization and analysis techniques
  • Independent worker with self-starter mentality; takes initiative
  • Natural presenter and communicator, ability to translate technical data concepts to non-data teams
  • Understanding of digital media buying and ad-serving landscape 
  • Leadership skills in the identification of and addressing business opportunities
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing environment
