About The Position
We are looking for a highly organized and strategic Marketing Manager to support the Commerce News and Deals team in content planning, strategy, and execution. This role will work closely with various editorial directors and strategists to support the creation and implementation of daily, monthly, and shopping event coverage plans along with creating and managing systems to organize and execute schedules and assets for these events. This role will support multiple brands, including People, InStyle, Real Simple, Food & Wine, and more.
They will be responsible for coordinating across various teams to ensure news verticals have the necessary assets, documents, and data to plan content that drives strong performance towards key production and revenue goals. The position is part of our centralized Commerce strategy team, collaborating closely with editorial and cross-functional teams including growth, editorial, social, newsletter, analytics, art, and product.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with multiple teams to create and manage various assets, including images, links, promo copy, overlays, etc for monthly events and major shopping holidays

Create, manage, and streamline systems for tracking daily and recurring content promotion across brands

Coordinate promotional tactics with product, newsletter, distribution, and social teams and spot check/troubleshoot with product and engineering teams during tentpole events

Ensure that all deadlines are met for tentpole planning across all teams

Communicate with brands and retailers to collect sale/promotion information to distribute to various commerce teams ahead of tentpole events

Analyze data to strategically choose placements for promotion to drive revenue and views, including for email, Apple News, social, push notifications, etc.

Distribute reports across brands on recurring basis

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements,
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

3-5 years experience in editorial or media

Highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Expertise or interest in shopping and commerce

Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization

Strong project management and organizational skills

Strong understanding of analytics and organizational tools such as Google Analytics, AirTable, and Excel/Google Sheets

Experience with data visualization tools (such as Looker) is a plus
