Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists, and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! The Role
As a Marketing Associate at Spot & Tango, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how our brand is experienced by customers, partners, and the community. You’ll manage and grow our ambassador program, support public relations initiatives, and execute grassroots activations to build brand awareness. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working both strategically and in the weeds.
Responsibilities
Ambassador Program
- Build, manage, and scale our ambassador program to amplify Spot & Tango’s mission and reach.
- Draft creative briefs for ambassadors and influencers. Review and provide constructive feedback on content submissions to maintain quality standards.
- Recruit, onboard, and maintain direct relationships with brand ambassadors and influencers. Ensure creator alignment with key program objectives and brand voice.
- Monitor ambassador activity and performance, using data to optimize engagement and impact on business objectives.
Public Relations
- Assist with PR initiatives, including managing press materials and supporting press events and activations.
- Collaborate with the team to craft compelling stories and pitches that resonate with media and influencers.
Grassroots Marketing
- Ideate and execute creative, cost-effective local activations to build brand awareness.
- Partner with dog-friendly businesses, local organizations, and community events to create meaningful touchpoints.
- Take ownership of grassroots initiatives, from planning to execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the broader marketing and operations teams to ensure cohesive campaigns and activations.
- Support the development of marketing assets, presentations, and campaigns.
- Track and analyze the performance of campaigns, using insights to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of marketing experience, ideally with exposure to ambassador programs, public relations, or event marketing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset—you’re ready to tackle challenges head-on.
- A customer-centric perspective, always considering the short- and long-term implications of decisions.
- A love for dogs (a furry companion at home is a plus!) and a genuine interest in pet wellness.

Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
Our hybrid policy requires employees to work in-person at our New York office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees are able to work from home on Tuesday and Friday.
