Dotdash Meredith seeks an innovative Manager of Sales Marketing to lead proposal development for key accounts within our Finance Sales Vertical. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Sales team to develop and execute client strategies, manage the pre-sale proposal process, and drive revenue growth with top-tier advertising partners.
Our growing business spans not only our core endemic Financial sites (Investopedia and The Balance) but also offers the opportunity to develop bespoke programs that touch on multiple life stages and passion points across our suite of 40+ brands spanning Lifestyle, Food and Beverage, Wellness, Tech, and Health categories. Based in NYC, this hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly and reports to the Director of Marketing.
About The Position’s Contributions:

Lead Proposal Process: Own the end-to-end development of client-facing materials; manage meeting decks, one-sheets, proactive work, and RFP responses - creating smart, strategic, and innovative pitches that drive revenue growth

Vertical Strategy: Collaborate across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio to architect sellable opportunities for advertisers that are grounded in our brand’s most influential franchises and tentpoles

Storytelling: Bring ideas to life through well-written and visually appealing client-centric proposals that represent our brands, capabilities, and concepts flawlessly

Cross-Department Communication: Partner closely with Sales, Account Strategy, Editorial, Content Strategy, and Research teams to ensure proposals effectively communicate our unique value proposition

Sales Partnership: Develop strong relationships with the Sales team to become experts on their business; provide support on client calls, as needed

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:

Bachelor's degree
Experience:
-
2-3 years of relevant experience at a Digital Publisher or Advertising Agency
-
Background in the Finance category is a plus but not required
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

Strong copywriting and storytelling skills; ability to craft a narrative and persuasive Sales story in a clear, succinct way

Proficient in PowerPoint, Keynote, and their capabilities with a mastery of visual communications, type treatment, use of color and photographic imagery to create high-impact presentations

Superior communication skills - strong listening skills with the ability to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders, foster brainstorming, and translate critical takeaways into decisive action plans

Possesses a solid understanding of the Digital advertising landscape, products, and trends; understanding of Events/IRL activations, Print, and/or the Programmatic marketplace is a plus

Must be a are a true self-starter – provides proactive thinking, understands organizational goals, and moves initiatives forward independently
