Innovations is a new space that Mondelez International is building on. Innovations encapsulates projects considered as Learns & Pilots that drive disruptive ideas across the organization. These are projects that will run on Agile methodology and for a duration of typically 8-10 weeks. Based on the learnings of these initiatives a decision would be made to incorporate this as a portfolio project to scale or introduce a new test and learn.
How you will contribute
The role calls for experimenting cutting edge technologies while at the same time building strong partnership with the North America Business Units involving:

  • Being accountable for bringing 'outside in' for the BU in shape of startup's and real POV cases
  • Build a strong partnership with BU and build a strong pipeline of ideas to pursue
  • Being accountable for scoping, aligning, adopting and leveraging Emerging technology for respective learn & pilots
  • Strong Product Management and Technical Understanding to quickly execute these initiatives


THE KEY RESPONSIBILITES FOR THE ROLE:

  • Identify and Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Research and analyze emerging technologies (e.g., Gen AI, AI, machine learning, IoT, blockchain, AR/VR) and assess their potential applications within the CPG value chain
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor the evolving technology landscape and identify new opportunities to leverage digital innovation for competitive advantage
  • Promote a Culture of Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the IT department and across the organization, encouraging experimentation and creative problem-solving
  • Understand business priorities, identify innovation opportunities, help analyzing business benefits, evaluating ROI and work on evaluating initiatives to develop digital agenda
  • Leverage technical capabilities (Acumen) to effectively work with delivery partners to rapidly deliver scalable initiatives
  • Work with Key Stakeholders to define requirements, commence POCs/Pilots, lead UAT, launch products and think scale across other regions
  • Communicate the benefits, and champion innovation initiatives throughout MDS and across the enterprise.
  • Define and track metrics to evaluate success of initiatives
  • Expected to roll up sleeves and develop pilots and documents as applicable
  • Apply Agile methodology to quickly and effectively build a case to show value
  • Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately
  • Closely collaborate with the MDS teams and also business teams to determine the hypothesis being tested
  • Conduct regular checkin's with stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder's needs and requirements continuously in view
  • Business acumen and learning agility are must need skills
  • Support in handover / execution of deployment of proven initiatives to scale
  • Closely collaborate with deployment teams as appropriate
  • Take initiative to improve one's own work and technical knowledge
  • Keep oneself up to date with the latest in technologies and identify ideas / opportunities that could be leveraged for the organization


THE KEY EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing digital innovation projects
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about innovations, digital technologies and possess technical acumen to evaluate new opportunities with internal and external partners
  • Ability to understand a variety of disruptive technology products and services that will guide across the functions in enterprise such as Sales, Marketing (digital & eCom), R&D and Supply Chain etc.
  • Experience in Emerging digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence/ML, Gen AI, AR/VR, Blockchain and experience in working with startup and innovation incubator ecosystem
  • Proven track record of learning new skills proactively and applied it to business opportunities
  • Understand the impact of data and digital technologies in the context of business
  • Experience in a major CPG or parallel industry
  • Experience in design thinking preferred
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential applications in the CPG sector


More about this role

  • 4 year degree required, preferably inInformation Systems/Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Business Analytics
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in programming
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in digital technologies - AL, ML, AR/VR, etc.

  • Knowledge of Project Management, Systems development methods, and Support processes
