The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Operations, the Manager, Commercial Planning plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of commercial operations by driving internal communications, coordinating key meetings, and supporting strategic planning efforts. This role will work closely with commercial leadership to enhance engagement, improve operational efficiency, and align cross-functional teams on key initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and adept at managing complex projects while facilitating clear communication across commercial, marketing, sales, and operations teams.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure alignment across the commercial organization.
•    Draft and manage content development for commercial updates, leadership communications, and key messaging.
•    Organize and deliver commercial town halls, leadership meetings, and strategy sessions.
•    Serve as a point of contact for internal messaging related to commercial objectives, milestones, and initiatives.
•    Lead the planning and execution of key internal commercial meetings, including: 
o    Weekly leadership updates
o    Cross-functional commercial alignment meetings
o    Offsite strategy sessions
o    Town halls and internal summits
•    Prepare agendas, track action items, and follow up to ensure alignment and execution.
•    Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, and virtual collaboration setup.
•    Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategic plans.
•    Maintain and track commercial project timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
•    Support budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for commercial initiatives.
•    Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, market access, and medical affairs teams to ensure strategic alignment and drive efficiency.
•    Maintain and update commercial calendars, project trackers, and planning documents.
•    Manage contracts, purchase orders, and vendor relationships for commercial planning initiatives.
•    Support the onboarding of new commercial team members by ensuring they have access to key materials and meetings.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, trainings, industry regulations, and commercial best practices.
•    Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and materials for leadership meetings and board updates.
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize internal processes and workflows.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or related field) or related experience
•    3-5+ years of experience in commercial operations, strategic planning, corporate communications, or project management in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
•    Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in developing leadership messaging.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet), and virtual collaboration platforms (Zoom, Teams, Slack, etc.).
•    Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
