Manager, Business Development - Luxury Travel
As Capital One continues to expand into the premium market, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager, Luxury Travel, who excels in executing business development plans to achieve goals. This talented individual will drive growth and will strategically lead the business development cycle in specific segments for hotel partners within our luxury travel programs while managing new accounts and ensuring efficient onboarding and ramp-up. The Manager will also drive market presence by identifying and participating in industry events, conferences and activities that increase awareness of the Capital One premium collections.
In addition, this role will have responsibilities in Account Management including day-to-day partner support (troubleshooting, answering questions), presenting results and growth opportunities to partners, and representing "voice of partner" for future program enhancements & launches.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the partnerships strategy
  • Identify and establish initial contact with potential partners, research specific customer needs, and incorporate into initial partnership pitches
  • Support the proposal process for partners, including points of negotiation, pricing development, and industry benchmarking
  • Serve as primary point of contact for established partners, managing day-to-day account activities, including customer interface, troubleshooting, and determining cross-sell opportunities
  • Create and maintain travel schedule for industry events and trade show participation to build business partnerships and keep top of mind awareness
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key business drivers & deliver immediate, sustainable and measurable results
  • Assist in researching and analyzing the travel and hospitality industry to identify and prioritize target partners
  • Assist in creating and customizing business development pitch decks
  • Organize and maintain up to date brand lists of partners and any business development-related documents


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in a business development position with a hospitality or travel company in the luxury leisure segment
  • At least 5 years of experience in partner management or account development or business development with a focus on building and managing partnerships


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience and a successfully proven track record in B2B sales and business development within the luxury travel or hospitality industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $163,300 - $186,400 for Manager, Business Development
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
