We’re looking for ato join our Engineering & Quality team to assist with preventative maintenance tasks, unplanned maintenance, machine upgrades, and other tasks related to process machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

You’ll report to the Director of Operations & work from our Jersey City office. 

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure quality production
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop and track PM schedules for process machinery in the facility
  • Perform unplanned maintenance and troubleshooting tasks when the need arises 
  • Perform machine upgrades and testing
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to implement maintenance logs, best practices, and operator-led maintenance tasks
  • Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements
  • Work with cross-functional groups to determine standard maintenance procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

  • 2+ years of proven experience as a maintenance tech
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplying & dividing) 
  • Basic computer skills (email, google suite, microsoft) 
  • Advanced hands-on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude
  • Familiarity with industrial automation and factory equipment
  • Curious and seeks to learn new processes and systems, ask questions to ensure understanding
  • Takes direction well
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety first mentality
  • Ability to work in a deadline sensitive environment
  • Former experience as a maintenance technician, mechanic, service technician, machinist, or similar is a plus

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Extended periods of time in office and warehouse settings, both at Collector’s Universe and local vendors
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, email correspondences, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare, inspect, and receive submissions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
  • Working with and around equipment and machinery
  • Occasional exposure to machinery noise from forklifts, injection presses, and other machinery
  • Occasional exposure to warehouse temperatures and humidity
