Job summary: As a Executive Director in our Public Finance Sales team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of all MUNI products and client coverage. Your role involves managing trade execution, developing client relationships, and collaborating with trading, syndicate, and research partners to fulfill client requests and deliver market updates.
Job responsibilities:

  • Manage the trade execution process, including trade booking, new issue order taking, and providing general sales support across the desk.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end client relationships, focusing on growing the overall client relationship within the department.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers and product terminology while showing a strong interest in learning about other products to develop a cross-product skill set.
  • Work closely with internal partners in trading, syndicate, and research to ensure comprehensive client coverage.
  • Provide clients with timely market updates, assist with the execution of client orders, and offer valuable market intelligence.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Proven track record of successful client coverage and account interaction.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to perform well under pressure and handle high-pressure situations with urgency.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental products and market dynamics.
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative and quantitative abilities.
  • Strong team player with a detail-oriented and disciplined approach to process and quality control.
  • Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and self-manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps.
  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Prior working experience in a sales and marketing front office role is preferred.
