Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Data Scientist who thrives on solving complex marketing problems through cutting-edge analytical techniques, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights. Combining the principles of marketing analytics, as well as a solid background in the media and data landscape, this role will be responsible for developing solutions that immediately impact the business. This role requires a deep technical skillset to drive Go-To-Market business decisions and innovation.
Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will use your expertise in data analysis and marketing to develop and implement data-driven strategies that drive business growth.
  • Developing and executing marketing forecasting strategies, analyzing customer data, measuring media test results, building propensity models, and providing valuable insights to drive informed decision making.
  • Develop and implement advanced data science models, including clustering, segmentation, random forest, gradient boosting (e.g., XGBoost), ensemble techniques, and constrained optimization methods.
  • Design and execute matched-pair analyses, predictive analytics, and other statistical approaches to address business challenges.
  • Evaluate best approaches for testing go to market strategies, execute and measure
  • Work with large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Mentor and collaborate with team members to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Stay current on advancements in data science, tools, and methodologies to bring innovation to the team.


Qualifications

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering. An advanced degree, Data Science bootcamp or MOOC certification a plus.
  • 4-8 years of work experience in media analytics, digital analytics, marketing analytics, or related field.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as customer segmentation, campaign targeting and effectiveness, churn propensity modeling, customer lifetime value analysis, credit risk, geospatial analytics, survey statistics, marketing mix modeling, or recommender systems.
  • Solid knowledge of the digital media landscape as it pertains to advertising platforms (Google, Snap, Meta, Amazon, etc.) as well as the evolving digital data landscape.
  • Highly skilled in R or Python for statistical and machine learning programming.
  • Highly skilled in SQL and Python coding to wrangle and explore structured and unstructured data.
  • Proficient with server or Cloud computing platforms, such as Google Compute Engine or EC2 and data warehouses, such as Oracle, Big Query, or AWS.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience deploying models into production environments is highly desirable.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $133,661.00 - $190,944.00 / year. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in Plano is $111,384.00
- $159,120.00/ year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
