The Role

Squarespace is looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager with experience building and facilitating Manager & Leadership Development programs. We are looking for a do-er with a skills first approach to learning. You will help shape programs that equip our managers and leaders with the skills and tools they need to to be effective in their roles in support of our business goals and priorities. You will lead the L&D team's portfolio of manager, leadership and coaching programs.

You will report into the Director, Talent Management & Learning and will work hybrid from our New York City office.

You'll Get To…

  • Oversee the design and execution of all manager and leadership development programming at Squarespace to support a high-performing culture
  • Adopt a skills-first learning approach to bridge skills gaps within our manager population.
  • Establish the expectations of both managers and leaders at Squarespace by creating a blueprint for what success is in these roles.
  • Build and deliver a suite of manager development programs that supports new and experienced managers.
  • Promote excellence through the redesigning and enhancement of our leadership development strategy and programs.
  • Undertake a review and refresh of our existing coaching programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive skills mapping to identify current capabilities and pinpoint skill gaps, focusing on our manager population.
  • Design engaging learning programs tailored to varied audiences and skill levels and deliver training sessions using customized learning methods
  • Implement methods to measure learning effectiveness and report on manager development program outcomes and ROI to stakeholders. Analyze learning data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to develop engaging learning experiences.
  • Customer/Learner experience needs to be the lens in which you approach, design and build learning experiences.
  • Use our full suite of tools to scale learning programs.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee budgeting for all manager and leadership development programs.

Who We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience working in Learning & Development
  • 3+ years experience leading manager development programs.
  • 3+ year of management experience
  • Expertise in creating comprehensive and engaging Learning programs tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Ability to convey complex information both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences. Expert facilitation skills required.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, learning methods (ADDIE) and instructional design.
  • Motivated to build custom and creative programs and the ability to be hands-on with the daily administrative work
  • Technical proficiency in both HR and Learning Systems is important (Workday, LXP, LMS)
  • Relevant L&D/HR Certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, Insights Discovery, EQi, Intercultural Development Inventory, Coaching Certification (ICF) )..

Cash Compensation Range: $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
