About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for provisioning new devices and hardware, maintaining connectivity to the internet and cloud services, and connecting applications to employees. The IT Specialist will also manage Google Workplace, including distribution groups, aliases, and email delivery issues. This position reports to the Senior Director of Site Reliability Engineering. This position will be based out of our Chicago, IL office on a hybrid schedule, in addition to have occasional on-site requirements and must be available to respond to urgent IT issues and troubleshooting as needed. We are unable to offer the position as a fully remote role at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision new devices and hardware, such as laptops, for employees
- Maintain and troubleshoot internet connectivity, including access points and switches
- Connect and manage employee applications, including Rippling and Slack
- Setup SSO and SCIM connections between Okta and various third party applications
- Automate access provisioning for employee applications based on role/group
- Maintain Google Workplace, including managing distribution groups, aliases, and resolving email delivery issues
- Provide technical support to employees as needed
- Document IT processes and update records accordingly
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware and software, including laptops, zoom rooms, switches, and wireless access points
- Experience with SSO and SCIM provisioning
- Familiarity with Google Workplace and Okta administration
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a part-time or flexible work environment
- Knowledge of additional IT applications and tools
- Prior experience in a similar industry or company size
