The Role

Cadre is a real estate investment manager that has built a $4bn+ portfolio across property types, markets, and risk profiles. Founded nearly a decade ago, Cadre seeks to generate compelling risk-adjusted returns for its investors, which include endowments, foundations, wealth managers, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and high net worth individuals. We invest in the underserved middle-market, where we believe our differentiated sourcing, robust diligence and structuring, and active asset management approach can take advantage of capital markets and operational inefficiencies and outperform the market. 

We are seeking an Analyst for the Investment Team to assist in all acquisitions and asset management functions across our growing real estate portfolio. In this role you will support in underwriting and executing real estate transactions across geographies, property types and risk profiles, as well as support portfolio and asset management functions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across the firm to help shape business, investment, and product strategy. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong command of real estate fundamentals with exceptional financial modeling abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.

 

  • Support all stages of the investment life cycle, including sourcing, cash flow modeling, market research, structuring, negotiating, closing, asset management, and disposition of real estate investments
  • Underwrite, diligence, structure, and execute new real estate investment opportunities across the U.S. and across asset classes
  • Support all aspects of asset management, which includes the preparation and updating of valuation models, review of monthly operating and financial reporting, preparation of annual budgets, tracking of business plan goals, updates on market performance, review of commercial lease, review of capital expenditures, and analysis of other aspects of asset and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare presentations and memoranda for the Investment Committee
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial business plan analyses, portfolio and asset management reports
  • Engage regularly with operating partners to review asset performance and adherence to business plan, along with third parties like brokers, lenders, property managers and consultants for market updates and potential business plan executions.
  • Research market statistics including leasing, sales, and demographic information
  • Assist in generating quarterly reports and investor updates
  • Help to build new acquisition, asset management models and performance tracking tools across asset classes

  • 1-2 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, real estate investment sales for a top commercial brokerage firm, investment banking, asset management, or similar roles
  • Exceptional Excel modeling skills
  • Command of real estate specific financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, rent roll, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Argus software is a plus
  • Comprehension of real estate fundamentals and terminology
  • High energy individual with an ability to work efficiently with little supervision
  • A heightened attention to detail – must be meticulous and consistently accurate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Ability to take risks and accept failure

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000+ (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
