Position Summary:
Our team is hiring an Investment Reporting Analyst to join the Advisory Solutions Group (ASG) in either New York, NY or Lincoln, MA. The ASG team works with ultra-high net worth and institutional clients to create custom multi-asset class investment portfolios, offering clients a full suite of investment advisory services. The candidate will support custom investment and portfolio reporting and data reconciliation efforts while gaining exposure to the full portfolio management reporting and data management process. The candidate will assist our Investment Associates and Portfolio Managers in developing, preparing and maintaining custom client reports and investment analysis including data gathering, aggregation and quality control activities.
Candidates should have a desire to explore the investment management business and must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Recent college graduates and/or professionals with 1-2 years’ experience are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates may have previous investment accounting or reporting experience through their current role or past internships, but it is not a requirement.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Reporting Analyst?

Maintain, develop and produce monthly and quarterly custom investment performance reports for clients. Partner with Investment Associates and Portfolio Managers to ensure report parameters and data integrity is met for existing and new reports and take ownership of the process leading to successful outcomes

Assist with monthly and quarterly cashflow reconciliation workflows

Review performance data for hedge funds and other alternative investments

Identify workflow/system efficiency improvements and work with colleagues to enact change

Perform quality assurance on clients' performance reports and work with Investment Associates and PMs to understand client needs, leading to client satisfaction

Coordinate and complete special ad-hoc projects as requested
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Bachelor's Degree

0-2 years’ experience in financial services; will consider recent college grads with intern experience

Experience with investment reporting through internships or full-time roles is a plus

An analytical mindset and interest in the markets and muti-class investment portfolios

Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills

Highly organized and process-driven

Ability to manage competing demands and meet client deadlines

Microsoft Office experience, especially Excel

Self-starter with the ability to be persistent and thorough in solving problems

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client account information

Disciplined work ethic and ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $70k - $85k per year plus bonus opportunity.
